I've been neglecting my baby!

I've been so bad about Collage lately.  So sorry.

Those of you who read my other blog know I've been sucked into a PTO fundraising project and I'm in WAY OVER MY HEAD!  I've been stooped over the sewing machine sewing belts to sell at a vendor night and I'm kind of freaking out!!

I'm so scared that all my time and effort will be for nothing.  I haven't even been able to play tennis, which I need desperately for my body and my sanity.

Have you ever been convinced to participate in, or head up a committee or an event that has really taken over your life?

If so, please share!!

LOL Never have been here! :) Good luck with that though. I know my mom single handedly did all my sisters bridesmaid dresses and all of the older 5 got married in the same summer :)

I HATE planning stuff! I'm so bad at it. That's why I ran off to an island when I got married - no planning! I spent about 1 hour with a wedding planner, choosing which 1 of 4 cakes I wanted, which 1 of 3 bouquets I wanted, etc. etc.

Committees? Yeesh. Makes me sweat.

A few years ago the preschool fundraising committee I was bulldozed into heading ate my life. Talk about a time suck. Plus everyone starts to avoid you because they think you'll try to bully them into being on the committee (which I totally was).

I am stuck in PTA,HOA, and GS HE-Double Toothpick! I am editor for two newsletters, troop leader, and they are all trying to get more of my time. I may be a SAHM, but I am busier now than I ever was working full-time outside of the home.

I'm with ya!!! Why do we do this to ourselves?

Oh yeah... mistakenly thinking that having my two babies in school all day would yield free time (I'm still not clear on why it hasn't! My house is cleaner and I blog more though) Anyhoo -- I volunteered for WAY too much at their school. I write, edit & shoot photos for the PTO Newsletter, I manage the school marquee (that's a dumb job!) and I volunteer in both their classrooms regularly. I'm making myself nuts. I blogged about it last week "PTO and other Levels of Hell".
