Holier Than Thou Judgemental People

It really irks me to hear really smug people who go to church yet they have zero tolerance for Gays. Who are they to think that they have the right to judge others.
I have heard Bill O'Reilly on Fox News say that Alcoholism is not an illness he said that Alcoholics just "like to drink". Gee Billy Boy I hope none of your children or grandchildren take a liking to booze.
When a family has a problem with one of their children many of these people sit back blame the parents and think it can never happen to them.

What has happened to compassion ? Humility ?
Remember no act of kindness no matter how small is ever wasted.

I second what Mrs. D. said!

I've found the most judgmental people are frequently the most insecure.

Well, I normally find myself agreeing with Bill (I know, you're all shocked!) but he sure got that one wrong. Alcoholism is most definitely an illness, both mental and physical.

Here's my feeling on the whole gay argument: why on Earth would anyone CHOOSE to be a part of a group that faces the kind of hatred, ridicule, and discrimination that gays face? You are what you are, and you're born that way. Whether you're ok with the actual behavior or not, surely in this day and age most people understand that gays cannot help their orientation any more than we can help our gender, our skin color, or our IQ. Would I be devastated to learn that one of my children was gay....well, honestly, yes. I would. But would that make me love them any less? NO NO NO NO NO.
